The layout was completely reimagined for openness and flow. By removing the kitchen wall, light now stretches from one end of the home to the other, creating a seamless connection between spaces. The dining area greets you by the entrance, while the living zone sits at the heart of the home, a thoughtful reversal that expands the sense of space and introduces a refreshing rhythm.
Instead of a conventional living setup, two lounge chairs take centre stage, a cosy spot for reading, conversation, or simply unwinding after a long day. The kitchen was enlarged with additional countertop space and anchored by a movable bar table that doubles as a work desk or casual dining area.
The master bedroom was kept simple, echoing the same light wood and subtle detailing found throughout the home. An open niche provides a place to display and reach for everyday pieces like clothes and bags that blend utility with ease.
The secondary room was transformed into a flexible work-study area, enclosed with bi-fold doors that conceal ample storage behind. Eschewing a fixed wardrobe, the homeowner preferred the freedom to play with the layout and let the space evolve with her.
