What was once a flat with a segmented layout has been transformed into a cosy, warm home built around their dog. Open spaces let him dash from room to room, chase sunlight, and explore every corner without restriction, while the home remains comfortable and welcoming for the young couple.
Designed to shift between play and pause, the living room blends style and practicality. The microcement flooring stretches throughout, cool underfoot and perfect for their dog to run around. Warm wood tones and soft neutral shades give the space a grounded, inviting atmosphere. A pocket door cabinet hides a growing Stitch collection, sometimes tucked away for a clean, minimalist look, sometimes revealed to become a playful focal point. The space is flexible, ready to shift between lively playtime and quiet, relaxing moments.
From here, the open flow continues into the kitchen, which was redesigned to connect naturally with the living and dining areas. A structural column in the centre could have felt like an obstacle, but instead it was turned into a feature with built-in shelving and a kitchen island. Travertine countertops and a matching backsplash add warmth and natural texture, while built-in cabinets and integrated storage keep the area organised without interrupting the open feel.
The master suite is a blend of comfort and personal expression. By combining the master bedroom with a second bedroom, the space now features a generous walk-in wardrobe, fulfilling a long-held dream for the homeowner. Display areas were thoughtfully designed to showcase her growing Stitch collection and other cherished pieces. Designed with the whole family in mind, a window settee gives their dog a cosy spot to watch the world outside.
Even the master bathroom continues this theme of calm and comfort. Microcement walls give the space a spa-like feel, turning everyday routines into moments of quiet indulgence.
From the open-plan flow to pet-friendly finishes and thoughtfully curated personal touches, this home works beautifully for play as well as quiet moments in between. The design harmonises personality and practicality, allowing the couple to celebrate their love for their dog, their collection, and a home that feels truly theirs.
