What was once a closed-off penthouse with a long, narrow foyer and enclosed kitchen has been completely reimagined into an open, family-centred home. The couple, living here with their twins and helper, wanted a space that felt both welcoming and refined — a place where gatherings could flow easily.
The design begins at the entry. Instead of a long corridor, guests now arrive into an airy open-plan anchored by a generous kitchen island. White shaker-style cabinetry pairs with a wood-lined ceiling to create a cosy, country-inspired charm, while the expansive island invites gatherings both large and small. Just beyond, the living area is defined by herringbone vinyl flooring, its textured pattern adding a touch of European style.
Subtle details further define the home’s character. LED strips trace the walkway for a clean, minimal effect, while bathrooms carry the same language through herringbone tiles in varying tones, distinct yet harmonious. Integrating the study, the master suite offers a smooth transition where the custom wardrobe cleverly conceal the bathroom door.
The redesigned space blends openness, warmth, and personality, creating a penthouse that’s both a home and a serene escape for its family.
