For this young couple and their newborn, the home needed to be more than just a living space, it had to feel like a private sanctuary. Instead of the usual bright and neutral look, they chose deep, moody tones that make the home feel intimate, warm, and entirely their own.
The living area sets the tone for family life and connection. The lush park view inspired relocating the dining area to the balcony, freeing up space for a play corner for their child. A limewash TV feature wall adds a soft, subtle touch, glowing warmly when the cove lighting is on. Carefully layered textures and furnishings make this space a hub for both relaxation and everyday family moments.
Flowing seamlessly from the living room, the kitchen was opened up to suit the family’s practical needs, routines and lifestyle. A wraparound counter doubles as a pantry, keeping essentials within easy reach—perfect since the couple doesn’t cook often. Black cabinetry with stone-patterned surfaces lends a bold, refined character, while under-counter lighting subtly brightens the workspace.
Designed with daily life in mind, the suite offers a serene escape for the family. A king-sized bed anchors the space, while a small study by the park-facing window provides a quiet area for work or reflection. Ample storage is subtly integrated, keeping the room uncluttered.
The bathrooms continue the bold aesthetic, with the master ensuite in blacks and greys, while the common bathroom introduces wood tones for a warmer feel. Thoughtful lighting throughout ensures the dark palette feels calm, luxurious, and welcoming.
