Balestier has long been a place where history and design meet, and that spirit inspired us to create our showroom here. Conceived as both a workspace and a gathering place, this shophouse is where ideas, collaboration, and community converge.

From the street, the shophouse is softened with pockets of greenery, a prelude to the calm that awaits within. Foliage frames the entrance, and the microcement finish carries seamlessly from the exterior into the interior, blurring the threshold and creating a sense of continuity.

Near the foyer, curved pillars sculpt the entryway with a quiet elegance. As daylight filters through, the soft arcs catch and reflect the light, giving the entrance a sense of rhythm and movement. Tiered seating lined with cushions sits alongside, conceived as a communal perch, a place where guests can pause, gather, or simply take in the atmosphere before moving deeper into the space.

The journey continues into the lounge-like living area, a setting designed for both work and leisure. Outfitted with generous seating, a short-throw projector, and dark green marble console, it carries the comfort of a home yet adapts easily for entertaining clients and team discussions. A smart lighting system fine-tunes the mood, highlighting the adaptability of the space.

In the heart of the showroom, the dining area doubles as both a gathering spot and a meeting zone. Here, conversations unfold around a generous table, framed by a kitchen that’s equal parts functional and refined. The backsplash, crafted from a striking slab of green-veined marble brings a dramatic yet grounding presence to the all-white cabinetry.

Further in, the elongated table offers space for collaborative work. Its sleek surface is softened by a circular cut-out cradling a cluster of greenery, a quiet reminder of nature within the pared-back space. Tucked discreetly behind noise-dampening curtains and engineered wood panels is the private meeting room, connected to the material library through a concealed doorway, a quiet nod to the studio’s ethos of practicality and considered detail.

The bathroom extends the showroom’s minimalist palette, with large-format white floor tiles that seamlessly blend with the microcement walls. Concealed sanitaryware and sleek, uninterrupted fittings maintain a streamlined aesthetic, while the subtle interplay between tile and microcement adds depth and texture to the serene space.

Designed to feel like home, every corner of the Balestier showroom invites visitors to linger. From the soft curves of the pillars to the tiered seating and curated greenery, it’s a space to work, meet, or simply relax where design and comfort coexist effortlessly.
