Storage, functionality, and seamless flow were central to the home’s design. A long stretch along one wall houses the TV while concealing generous storage, and it also integrates two hidden doors that provide access to the children’s and family rooms. This integration keeps the space sleek and uncluttered, while a dedicated piano corner allows music to fill the home, creating moments of joy and creativity for the children.
Bringing light and openness to a naturally dim space was a key challenge in the kitchen. A glass partition and sliding door were introduced, allowing light from both the dining area and the foyer to filter in, while still keeping cooking activity contained. With limited countertop space, the island doubles as both a generous prep station and a gathering spot for family interactions.
Designing a master retreat that combined luxury, storage, and functionality presented its own set of challenges. Almost everything needed to coexist in a single space: a walk-in wardrobe, dresser, bathtub, separate rain shower, vanity, and even a study area. A small portion of the living area was cleverly repurposed to create the study, which now serves as the entry point to the master suite. From here, the flow continues past the platform bed, through the walk-in wardrobe, and into the vanity area, a carefully choreographed sequence that balances practicality with a sense of retreat.
In this home, thoughtful design transforms the everyday into something effortless and enjoyable. From bustling family breakfasts to quiet evenings of study and music, every space supports the family’s life, proving that even a home for seven can feel spacious, organised, and beautifully harmonious.
