For the couple who lives here, the living room is the heart of daily life and also their favourite corner of the home. Originally a bedroom, this space was opened up to create a larger area that could accommodate the big television they had always envisioned. A column that couldn’t be removed was cleverly worked into the design. Lighting was added beneath, and furnishings chosen with care so that it blends seamlessly into the minimalist aesthetic rather than disrupting it. Sliding glass doors now separate the living room from the adjacent master bedroom, creating a flexible boundary. The couple enjoys how this setup allows them to lounge and watch TV while still feeling visually connected to the rest of the home.
With a relatively narrow walkway, the kitchen and dining area could have easily felt cramped. To make it work, a island was placed alongside the dining table, creating one continuous surface that serves multiple functions, prep, dining, and even extra storage while leaving enough room to move around comfortably.
Right in front of this setup sits the dry kitchen, where drinks and light meals can be easily prepared without stepping into the wet zone. The wet kitchen itself is tucked neatly behind glass doors, keeping heavier cooking contained but still connected to the rest of the space. This layering of zones allows the kitchen to feel open and practical, while ensuring it stays as neat and streamlined as the rest of the home.
In the master bedroom, customised cabinetry with rounded edges continues the soft, minimalist language of the home. A limewash bedhead lends subtle texture, while wardrobes built along both sides of the room serve as a gentle divider between the couple. This thoughtful layout maximises storage while giving each of them a dedicated space of their own.
Thoughtful storage and clean lines keep the home uncluttered, letting daily life flow naturally. Minimalist in style yet full of warmth, it’s a space where comfort meets simplicity, and every corner invites the couple to relax, connect, and enjoy the little moments together.
