Sororia
What was once two separate 3-room apartments is now a shared retreat. A calm, thoughtfully designed home for two sisters. Merging the units gave them the opportunity to create a space that feels open, connected, and made to grow with their family.
The entry sets the tone for the home. The terrazzo walkway leads you in with a touch of charm. It creates a welcoming first impression that feels both fresh and inviting. Inside, the home is layered with soft neutrals and a mix of light and dark woods, bringing depth and calm to the space. Built-in storage runs throughout, keeping the spaces uncluttered and easy to live in.
The living area forms the heart of the home. With children and grandchildren visiting often, the space was kept generous and open, perfect for family gatherings, conversations, and moments of connection.
The kitchen was kept intentionally compact, making it more practical and easier to maintain for the sisters’ day-to-day needs. The former second kitchen has been transformed into a storage and laundry room, streamlining daily routines while keeping the main areas free of visual clutter.
In the bedrooms, the palette shifts slightly deeper. A darker wood headboard anchors the space, complemented by beige wardrobes that add a soft contrast to the lightness found elsewhere. It’s a restful, grounded space designed for comfort and ease.
The design carries a quiet simplicity, with every detail supporting both comfort and function. Thoughtful storage, soft tones, and open spaces ensure it works for day-to-day life while still feeling warm and inviting whenever family comes together.
