It looked nothing like this when they first walked in. Dark UV-tinted windows, tight grilles, finishes that weren't theirs. What it had, though, was space, and a floor plan that made it easy to picture what it could become.

Stripped back and reimagined, the flat opens up in a way the original finishes never allowed. Natural light now pours through every room, giving the flat an airy, uplifting quality that shapes the mood from morning to evening. The living room anchors the home with soft green accents, a curated display shelf, and meaningful objects chosen for memory as much as aesthetics. Open and unhurried, it flows easily into the dining area, inviting the kind of lingering conversations that stretch long past the meal.

The kitchen was expanded and redesigned with French-style windows between the kitchen and living area, it stays visually open while still allowing the space to close off during heavier cooking sessions. The white backsplash tiles with an uneven surface catch and play with the light, while the floor tiles bring texture and colour underfoot. The result is a kitchen that is both elegant and deeply functional, the kind you actually want to spend time in.

Step past the living spaces and the energy shifts. The master bedroom is kept simple and uncluttered, a full built-in wardrobe with trim-detailed doors and gold handles taking care of the practical. The bathroom adds a quieter note of personality, with floral tiles on the backsplash that feel considered without being loud.

A home is never really finished. It accumulates, slowly and without effort, through shared meals and familiar routines, a dog that has long since decided which spot is hers, and the quiet layering of a life well lived. That was always what this space was made for.
